“The whole edifice itself is magnificent. This is set to become one of the distinguished landmarks here in Nabunturan,” Engr. Danilo Salcon from the Nabunturan Municipal Engineering Office declared. He was referring to the new and bigger house of worship of the Nabunturan Congregation of the Iglesia Ni Cristo along LC Arabejo Avenue in Davao de Oro’s capital town.
The said holy edifice was dedicated to God in a worship service held on April 5, 2024 which was led by Brother Rene J. Panoncillo, the Church’s General Secretary.
During his homily, Brother Panoncillo reminded the brethren of the great importance of the house of worship in the spiritual life of God’s chosen ones. He further encouraged the brethren to prioritize their worship services during which they can pray to God and seek for His guidance.
Teresito Bongcac, head deacon, who eagerly prepared, together with his household, for the momentous occasion, expressed, “I’m so happy that we were blessed with this beautiful house of worship.”
“I will even more dedicate myself in performing my duties that truly give glory and honor to our Lord God,” said Evelyn Fajel, a deaconess.
“We thank the Lord God because through Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister, a modern, huge, and magnificent house of worship was built for the Local Congregation of Nabunturan,” expressed Brother Nicanor Bernardo Jr., Davao de Oro District supervising minister.
The house of worship is equipped with a LED TV for videoconferencing, Johannus organ, CCTV camera system, and state-of-the-art sound system, as well as offices for various departments. Additional edifices built, aside from the newly-dedicated house of worship of the Nabunturan Congregation, were a new pastoral house and three-story district office building.
Brother Jorge Paulo Fernandez, resident ministerial worker, promised on behalf of the brethren, “We’ll take care of and love the house of worship that God has blessed us with because this is where His name and glory dwell.” — With reports from INC News Section
