On March 22, 2024, the houses of worship of the local congregations of Palsabangon and Patabog, in the ecclesiastical districts of Quezon and Quezon South, respectively, were dedicated to God during special worship services.

That in Palsabangon was officiated at by Brother Criselio de Lazo, supervising minister of Quezon District, while Brother Emmanuel Lanzanas, supervising minister of Quezon South District, in Patabog.

The supervising ministers emphasized through a biblical lesson the importance of the house of worship. This is where God’s chosen ones render the true worship of, offer praises to, and confide their prayers in Him.

“This is a memorable occasion,” said Alina Joy Aligato, KADIWA member in the Palsabangon Congregation. “I’ve been edified by God’s teachings preached during the worship service,” she added.

During the construction of the 150-seater house of worship in the village of Palsabangon, which is about 12 kilometers away from the Quezon Ecclesiastical District’s office in Lucena City, worship services were temporarily held in a rented lot adjacent to the same compound in the said village.

“The brethren are delighted whenever they fulfill God’s commandment of worshiping Him,” attested Brother Jayphie Yara, resident ministerial worker. “This occasion further inspired them to continue doing so.”

Meanwhile, brethren in Patabog Local Congregation, so thanked God during their inaugural worship for their new house of worship that can now accommodate 200 worshipers, from being then just 100 seats. It is located about 40 kilometers away from the district office in Catanauan.

“I will take care of this house of worship,” promised Cheryan Cole, a deaconess.

“Building houses of worship is a fulfillment of God’s commandment,” Brother Lanzanas said in an interview after the worship service. “It is in the house of worship where God’s name and glory dwells. During their times of hardship, true servants go here to pray to Him, ask for their needs, and they firmly believe that God will answer them as He Himself promises to do so.”

“I thank the Lord God for answering the prayers of the congregation, granting a beautiful house of worship to rise here in Patabog,” expressed Joey Rosales, Light of Salvation officer from the Local Congregation of Punturin, Ecclesiastical District of Caloocan North, who strove to attend the occasion being a native of Patabog.

“This congregation was established because of the growing number of the brethren here,” Brother Kenneth Nacario, resident ministerial worker, attested. “And they remain active in propagating God’s words despite their houses being far from this house of worship,” he added.

Both the houses of worship in Palsabangon and Patabog came equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system, CCTV camera system, and videoconferencing system. Other edifices were also constructed within the compound, such as parsonages, and offices for various departments. — With reports from Froilan Conde and Danica delos Reyes of INC News Section
