The ecclesiastical districts of Manitoba and Greater Toronto, both in Canada, shared to many people the words of God written in the Bible via musical evangelical missions on May 10 and 12, 2024, respectively.
These were, in part, held in commemoration of the 138th birth anniversary of Brother Felix Y. Manalo (1886-1963) whom the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) recognizes as the Messenger of God in these last days.
“May 10 of every year is special for us members of the Church Of Christ. After all, it is the birth date of Brother Felix Manalo,” Brother Roland Andrade, supervising minister of the Manitoba District, said. “This year we are celebrating his 138th birth anniversary. We do so by upholding God’s teachings he taught, one of which is by being active in propagating the true faith. Today, we did so through musical performances.”
In Manitoba, the musical evangelical mission took place at an events place along Garrioch Avenue, Winnipeg, Canada. Select brethren rendered via solo, duet, and choral group performances original Iglesia Ni Cristo songs that express the basic biblical beliefs of the Church. In between the performances, ministers read Bible verses attesting to the God-given election of the Messenger and the Church Of Christ in these last days.
Meanwhile, the Ecclesiastical District of Greater Toronto held its musical evangelical mission at the Michael Power St. Joseph Auditorium, Toronto Canada. Ten choral groups performed; Bible verses were emphatically read as well in between these performances.
In both events, the Christian songs performed emphasized the importance of knowing and accepting God’s messengers for man to be reconciled with God and, ultimately, receive salvation.
“It’s a wonderful experience,” said a guest by the name of Fortunate Maybale. She explained, “You can really sense the dedication and preparation that the performers allotted to showcase their presentations. This program is a totally different experience than other churches I attended.” She later decided to enlist as a doctrinal instructee. — With reports from Eric Perey and Thea Anne De Vera of INC News Section
