“Let us continue to please God,” was the message of the homily of Brother Amando Bariring Jr., supervising minister of the Ecclesiastical District of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, to baptismal candidates prior to their baptism held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Kabankalan City on May 25, 2024.
After the biblical preaching, the candidates for baptism took their oath of membership, then their actual immersion into the water.
“I’m happy because I’m now a member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. Every teaching in the Church is true because everything is based on the Bible,” said Christopher Mahinay in Inayawan Extension. “Many persecuted me and my wife, asking us why we joined the Church Of Christ. We tell them that we firmly believe that doing so will ensure our salvation and attainment of eternal life [on Judgment Day].”
Also in attendance were brethren from various local congregations in the district, who have been instrumental in the conversion of the now newly-baptized members.
“I’m thankful for the Church Administration’s continuous reminder to help in the work of propagation,” Julius Evangelista, head deacon from the Local Congregation of Cartagena, expressed. “I will continue bearing fruits of righteousness, one of which is by helping people to join the true Church, for that is pleasing before God’s sight.” — With reports from Elaine Talaban of INC News Section
