The Ecclesiastical District of Nagoya, Japan recently opened a Group Worship Service in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, Nagoya, around 350 kilometers north of the district’s main office. The inaugural worship service was led by Brother Manny Benedicto, district supervising minister, on June 1, 2024.

“The place of worship has been made more accessible. Whereas before, I’d have to travel for an hour. Now it’s just a 10- to 15-minute walk,” enthused Amethyst Joy Catangay, a finance officer and among the GWS’s pioneer members.

In his Bible-based homily, Brother Benedicto emphasized the importance of attending worship services. Doing so, the true servants are not only able to glorify the Lord God. Also, it opens door to His goodness. “We’re so thankful for the wonderful blessing of having a place of worship in this part of the world. This is an added strength for the brethren’s welfare,” the supervising minister said.

Having been edified in the faith, Rose Marie Bigoy, a finance officer, said, “This worship service is a great blessing.”

“We will help in the intensified work of spreading the words of God so that more people may be saved on the Day of Judgment,” said Brother Alvin Nabong, resident minister, on behalf of the brethren. — With reports from Stephanie Delos Reyes of INC News Section
