To celebrate nine decades of God’s love and blessings, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Marilao, Ecclesiastical District of Bulacan South, gathered for a night of Christian music on June 30, 2024. The INConcert event was held at the Mega Tent in Ciudad de Victoria, Bocaue, Bulacan, Philippines. The said congregation reached its 90th year earlier that month, June 2 to be exact.
“Marilao is one of the well-known municipalities in the province of Bulacan here in the Philippines. With the help and mercy of God, the Church Of Christ reached this place 90 years ago and has thrived ever since,” said Brother Eufracio B. Castillo Jr, district supervising minister, who graced the activity.
Through the musical performances of the select brethren from various Christian Family Organizations (CFO) featuring INC original music, the brethren reminisced how God poured out victories to their congregation throughout the years. Ricardo Viesca, Buklod president, shared, “We were delighted with the performances showcased by those from the PNK [Pagsamba ng Kabataan] and other organizations.”
Meanwhile, Zaldy De Dios, head deacon, attested how the celebration impacted him and other brethren, “We were so glad as the activity brought us even more inspiration to be devoted in the fulfillment of our duties.”
At the lobby of the venue, photos capturing some important milestones and chronicling the congregation’s activities were displayed. “I will never forget this wonderful experience celebrating such important milestone. The brethren felt the love of Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister, through this event,” expressed Zenaida Mac, head secretary.
“Through the photos, I was able to learn how the brethren remained active in serving God and obedient to Him despite the challenges,” said Elpidio Tamayo Jr, one of the head deacons. “I hope that the next generation of brethren will imitate the firm faith of the elderly members for them to be certain of salvation,” he added.
PNK officer Christian Joel Martinez stated, “It’s a great blessing to be part of this celebration. It was heartwarming to know how the Church started in Marilao, from its humble beginnings, and now, to its current stature.”
Brother Rainerio Martinez, resident ministerial worker, owed the success of the activity to the Lord God. “We felt the love and care of our beloved Executive Minister through the activities he launched in the Church such as the celebration of the congregation’s 90th anniversary. Most of all, it was God Who has been with the brethren in the congregation throughout the years,” he said. — With reports from Ken Marion Ramos and Airel Marco Sarno
