To recognize the efforts of the uniformed personnel in serving for the welfare of the community, brethren in the Local Congregation of Masbate City held a Police Appreciation Day. The event was held on July 30, 2024 at the Masbate Police Provincial Office, Camp Bonny Serrano, Brgy. Ibingay, Masbate City, Masbate, Philippines.

“With help from our brethren serving at the Masbate Police Provincial Office, we were able to conduct this activity, showing appreciation for the service of the police force,” said Brother Rodolfo Monforte, resident minister.

The giving of certificates and tokens of appreciation to the police officers highlighted the activity led by Brother Nepthalie Panes, supervising minister of the Ecclesiastical District of Masbate, and the district leadership. Select talented brethren also performed song-and-dance numbers featuring Iglesia Ni Cristo original music.

“I’m grateful to the Iglesia Ni Cristo for recognizing the sacrifices that we, police officers, make,” Police Executive Master Sergeant Ariel Espiel, expressed. “This inspires me to continue improving my work.”

I’m proud that I’m not only a police officer but, most of all, a member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo,” Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Neri, Chief of Police in Masbate City and a head deacon in the EGM Local Congregation, remarked. “I am committed to fulfilling my duty to God to share the true faith with my fellowmen.” — With reports from Raenier Moral
