Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the Ecclesiastical District of Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro conducted a blood donation activity at the GAD Building, Barangay Poblacion, Bansud, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines on August 31, 2024.
For the event, the Church Of Christ, through the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS), coordinated with the Oriental Mindoro Blood Council and the Philippine National Red Cross Oriental Mindoro Chapter.
Volunteer brethren first underwent health screening prior to their actual blood donation. A total of 169 blood bags were collected.
“Through this blood donation activity, I was given yet another opportunity to prove my obedience to God’s will in such a way that I have been an instrument in extending concern and assistance to our fellowmen,” shared Society of Communicators And Networkers International (SCAN) district president Ram Ramirez, enlisted in the Local Congregation of Sagana, who has been a donor for the sixth time now.
The blood donation activity was also part of the district’s commemoration of its eighth anniversary. “The Church Administration always encourage us to help those who are in need. This activity is one among ways we share with nonmembers the blessings we receive from God, especially as He has added yet another year of success to our district,” said Brother Carlo Malazarte, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer on behalf of the district. —With reports from Nikko delos Angeles
