“During winter in Australia, it’s a good time for everyone to go to Mt. Kosciuszko National Park to bond with family and friends,” said Brother Richard Esperanza, resident minister of the Local Congregation of Dean Park, Ecclesiastical District of New South Wales, Australia.

Taking the opportunity, he led the family snow trip activity that brethren in the said congregation eagerly participated in. Together with them were guests who accepted the brethren’s invitation. It was held on August 17, 2024 at the Perisher ski resort in Australia.

From 141 Hyatts Road, Plumpton New South Wales, Australia, the brethren boarded two buses. Provided with the event’s itinerary and map of the venue, “the brethren bonded with their loved ones and friends,” said Luvy Macabulos, the event organizer.

In the venue, the brethren first enjoyed breakfast together, and then spent the rest of the day sightseeing the said mountain which is deemed as the highest peak in Australia at 2,228 metres, as well as the snowy mountain fields, the Australian Alps, and the Great Dividing Range.

Brethren and guests alike enjoyed the day’s activity.

“Everything is so much fun. Making different ice sculptures, sightseeing, and being with friends and family,” enthused Gracielle Avendaño, organist. — With reports from Guillian Evangelista of INC News Section
