Brethren in the Ecclesiastical District of Queensland, Australia participated in the INC Unity Games that was held at the Marsden State High School open field on September 15, 2024, knowing that such an activity strengthens their bond of brotherhood.

Teams from various local congregations competed in friendly track-and-field events: 100-meter dash and 400-meter relay, captain ball, tunnel ball, and tug-of-war.

The players representing the Local Congregation of Gold Coast won in the majority of the said events. Their fellow brethren in the Local Congregation of North Brisbane prevailed in the captain ball; and those from the Local Congregation of Logan, in the men’s 400-meter relay.

“It’s a blessing to participate in such a wonderful event with my fellow brethren. Today, we’ve come together in the spirit of unity,” said Athalia Garcia from Brisbane. She competed in the 100-meter dash.

“This event highlights the value of unity and camaraderie. The competition was intense but it was also a lot of fun. What made today special was the way we were able to combine competition with cooperation,” said Teresa Brosas from Gold Coast. She led her team to win the tunnel ball segment.

Brother Orlando Macayan, district supervising minister, said in an interview that in the said activity, “the strong bond of brotherhood among the brethren has been evident, highlighting the unity we uphold in the Church Of Christ. This is pleasing to the Lord God.”
