“The Church Administration, especially the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, hopes that more brethren accept duties in the Church so that its continuous spread and growth be looked after,” said Lilibeth Bancroft who took oath as the assistant choir leader of the Manchester Congregation.
Many members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) from various local congregations in the recently established Britain North Ecclesiastical District heeded the said call of the Executive Minister. On September 29, 2024, they took their oath of office during the special gathering of Church officers that was led by Brother Romeo Anthony Peña, district supervising minister, at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Birmingham, England.
In his Bible-based lesson, Brother Peña reminded the Church officers, including long-time officers, about the significance of dedicating their selves in fulfilling Church duties to secure their and the brethren’s hope for salvation come Judgment Day.
Afterwards, Brother Chilo Fernandez, assistant district supervising minister, led the oath-taking of 43 new officers in the Church.
Having been on the choir for 20 years now, Michael John Bagaoisan of Manchester Congregation has taken oath as the assistant choir director. Asked why he accepted such duty, he shared, “It is inevitable that the Church has grown in many countries across the globe; the Church Administration is in need of officers that will look after the brethren. So, it is important that more brethren accept duties in the Church.”
With the approval of the Church Administration, from the then Great Britain District sprang forth the Ecclesiastical District of Britain North. Consequently, Great Britain District was renamed as the Ecclesiastical District of Britain South. — With assistance from Ronnie Estrella
