Church officers in the Ecclesiastical District of Rosales, Pangasinan attended a special gathering and spearheaded an evangelical mission on September 21 and 27, 2024, respectively.

Special gathering, oath-taking
On September 21, 2024, officers and would-be officers convened at the houses of worship of Sto. Tomas Congregation, and Tayug Congregation. These special gatherings were officiated by district supervising minister Brother Rowell de Lara, and assistant district supervising minister Brother Junnel Camacho, respectively.

The ministers emphasized that God is the One Who entrusts duties to His people for the benefit of His nation. Thus, He expects them to remain faithful in performing their duties, even making it their top priority no matter what happens in their life.

During the sacred occasion, a total of 381 additional officers took their oath of office.

In an interview, Shanelle Larni Manzano, choir member from Sto. Tomas Congregation, reaffirmed her conviction to “give topmost priority to the duty that God entrusted me with, no matter what happens in my life.”

“It is vital to keep the Church officers steadfast in their faith for their resilience inspires the rest of the brethren to also remain firm despite the adversities they face,” Brother Francis Bernabe Mariñas, resident minister of Acop Congregation, stated in an interview. “With the inspiration they received through the teaching of God’s words, the officers have reaffirmed their conviction to lead the brethren in various activities, such as in sharing the true faith.”

Evangelical missions
Shortly a week after, on September 27, 2024, Church officers led the brethren in bringing guests to evangelical missions held in 12 sites throughout the district.

Brother de Lara officiated at the house of worship of Natividad Congregation. He expounded in his Bible-based lesson the great importance of being dedicated in serving the one true God. He pointed out that as much as it is necessary for one to allot time in working or studying, and taking care of the family, people should prioritize spending time in understanding and following God’s will.

“I learned that this Church is the one that was redeemed by the Lord Jesus Christ with His blood, and is certain of being saved on Judgment Day,” said Jelyferl Anggot, a guest at Acop Congregation’s house of worship. She “decided to continue studying God’s words, and join the Church” for by doing so, she “fully adhere[s] to what the Bible teaches.”

Brother Raymond Rico, district Church officers overseer, expressed in an interview that, “all of the activities held in this district wherein the Church officers were primarily involved, helped renew their zeal, and made them all the more eager to fulfill their duties which please the Almighty God.” — With reports from Blaise Angeli Hidalgo and Ailu Quitoriano
