After a year and eight months of construction, the new house of worship of the Local Congregation of San Jose, Ecclesiastical District of Surigao del Norte, in the Philippines, was dedicated to the Almighty God on October 26, 2024 during the worship service officiated by the district supervising minister, Brother Roleson Remigio Jr.

The said 110-seater house of worship located at Brgy. San Jose, Libjo, is in the island of Dinagat, due north Surigao City.

“Seeing the new house of worship truly inspired us to go on even more in pleasing God. He continues to fulfill His promises to the Church,” reminisced Brother Cipriano Rosales, a retired minister who pioneered the work of propagation in San Jose. He was among those who attended the momentous event.

From the Bible, Brother Remigio taught in his homily that the true servants of God deem the house of worship as the most important place for it is where they gather to worship and communicate with God through prayers. Hence, they maintain its beauty, and more importantly, they obey God’s will taught therein.

“We thank the Church Administration for granting our local congregation this house of worship, which is integral for our edification. We promise to remain in our zeal in pleasing God. We will march on united with our beloved leader in upholding the Church’s works,” said Brother Marlon Peruda, resident ministerial worker, on behalf of the congregation.

During the duration of the construction, brethren attended worship services at the residence of Leopoldo Gumaod Sr.— With reports from Ivy Lerion and Aljun Amarille of INC News Section
