Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members, together with those in the process of joining the Church, in the Quezon City Ecclesiastical District gathered at the Philippine Stadium, Ciudad de Victoria complex in Bocaue, Bulacan on November 1, 2024 for back-to-back activities. On the said date, a Family Fun Day and a “Welcome, My Brethren” were held.
In his opening remarks, Brother Virgilio Del Rosario Sr., district supervising minister, expressed his gratitude to the brethren for their unwavering unity with the Church Administration in all of the works of the Church. He also encouraged the brethren to remain steadfast in the faith and zealous in taking part in various activities which give glory to God.
Afterwards, several activity booths were opened for the attendees. Among those opened were a free medical check-up booth by volunteers from the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS), a game booth for Sign Language learners by the Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD), and a CFO Media Experience booth wherein attendees had the chance to deliver a news report of a Church activity on camera.
Meanwhile, the “Welcome, My Brethren” was held later that day for those who were recently baptized into the Church. During the event, brethren from various local congregations and Christian Family Organizations as well as doctrinal instructees and prospective members, entertained the audience with their performances featuring INC Original Music.
Rogelio Valiente Jr., head deacon from Batasan Hills 1 Congregation, expressed that his family “was happy for being able to take part in these activities.” He further expressed that through the said activities, his children “were taught at an early age the importance of eagerly participating in various Church activities.”
Haidee Gay Gubat, district Buklod officer, and deaconess from Nagkaisang Nayon Congregation, remarked that such activities “help strengthen not only the bond among family members, but most of all their faith, which keeps them inspired in doing things that please the Almighty God.”
“Through these activities, we were able to show how vital it is to keep the bond among Christian families firm, and to let our newly baptized brethren feel that they are truly welcome in the true Church,” expressed Brother Del Rosario. “These activities proved how eager the brethren are in showing their unity with the Church Administration.” — With reports from Elizer Felix Hebrew and Ivy Vergara
