“A great number of brethren in the district responded to the call of the Church Administration to do their part in helping our fellowmen,” attested Brother Byron Edward Mabasa, Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer in Rosales, Pangasinan Ecclesiastical District.

As a result, a total of 119 bags of blood were collected during the blood donation activity, which the said district held on November 9, 2024 in its conference room located within the Carmen Congregation’s house of worship compound.

“Through this activity, we will be able to extend our help to more of our fellowmen who are in need of blood to be used for their medical operations,” said Johnson Cabusura, Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) officer.

CMDPS and Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) officers of the district collaborated with the Philippine National Red Cross– Urdaneta chapter in facilitating this socio-civic activity which “truly helped in replenishing our supply of blood, which are greatly needed especially now,” stated Jezryl Mira, donor recruitment, retention and care officer of the said Red Cross chapter.

Israel Raguin, choir member and Natividad Congregation’s Buklod president, shared that after being able to help a child in need of blood before, he “was inspired to continue taking part in succeeding blood donations held in the district.” Meanwhile, Rustom Burgos, deacon and SCAN officer from San Quintin Congregation encouraged more brethren and officers to “participate in blood donations for these not only benefit the recipients, but also the donors themselves.” — With reports from Blaise Angeli Hidalgo
