The inaugural worship service of the Futtsu Extension, Ecclesiastical District of Tokyo, Japan was held on November 28, 2024 at Futtsushi Futtsu Community Center in Arrai, Futtsu, Chiba. It was led by Brother Amante Rodriguez, district supervising minister.

Those enlisted in the extension were joined by the brethren from the Local Congregation of Chiba, its parent congregation, in the said gathering.

Through a Bible-based lesson, Brother Rodriguez exhorted the attendees that their sacrifices to be able to worship God and fulfill their duties will never be in vain, being pleasing to Him.

The brethren in Futtsu used to attend worship services with the Chiba Congregation, whose house of worship is more than 40 kilometers from that of the newly established extension. “The journey the brethren would take to attend worship services was not easy,” recalled Brother Isidro Mosquera Jr., resident minister. “However, with God’s help and mercy, they braved dangers, such as inclement weather, not minding the sacrifices because the worship service is so important to them.”

“I’m grateful to the Executive Minister Brother Eduardo V. Manalo for approving the place of worship of the extension. Before, I’d travel for more than an hour to reach the house of worship in Chiba to attend worship services,” Monserrat Yokosaki, a secretary, shared. “But now, the place of worship is very close to us. I’ll strive even harder in serving the Lord God.”

“We are thankful to our Lord God for we have been blessed to have this new place of worship,” Brother Rodriguez expressed.

Succeeding worship services of the extension will be held at the Yokosaki residence in 4-chōme 9 Aoki 26 Futtsu, Chiba, Japan. — With reports from Romar Angelo Gacoscos of INC News Section
