Prospective members and doctrinal instructees—respectively, those who have completed and those undergoing instruction in Bible doctrines—in the Ecclesiastical District of Tokyo, Japan assembled together for a special gathering on January 31, 2025.

The district leadership, with the approval of the Central Administration, called the gathering with the noble aim of further strengthening the new-found faith of the aspiring members and inspire them to carry on until they receive the holy baptism.

Brother Amante Rodriguez, district supervising minister, officiated at the holy gathering, which was held at the Hamamatsu Congregation’s house of worship, the host site. The other 35 sites were connected to the said venue through livestreaming.

Brother Rodriguez preached a biblical lesson emphasizing on true Christians’ zeal of fulfilling God’s teachings all the days of their life.

“The words of God have strengthened my faith because I know that He is always there guiding me, and that He will never forsake me,” remarked Diana Rose Manalo, a candidate for baptism in the Local Congregation of Kikugawa.

Also in attendance were the brethren instrumental in the would-be members’ conversion into the Church. One of them, Shahanie Leih Magtibay, a choir member with the Kikugawa Congregation, said, “Spreading the words of God makes me joyful, and to be one with the Church Administration in inviting more people to learn the biblical teachings upheld in the Iglesia Ni Cristo.”

“I’m happy because gradually I’m understanding about the Church, among other teachings in the Bible,” expressed Judith Rebose, doctrinal instructee from the Yokohama Local Congregation. “The lessons are heartfelt. I’m further inspired to strive becoming a member of the Church.” — With reports from Wyrlo Ulayao
