More than a thousand Church officers from Hawaii Pacific Ecclesiastical District attended a special gathering on January 12, 2025. This was held as part of their commemoration of the 100th birth anniversary of Brother Eraño G. Manalo, then Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) (1963-2009), whose date of birth was January 2, 1925.

The places of worship of the Local Congregations of Ewa Beach, Kea’au, Kalaheo, Wailuku, and American Samoa, served as the venues for the said gathering. The attendees listened to a Bible-based homily delivered by Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, Christian Family Organizations (CFO) Coordinator via video streaming.

In his homily, Brother Angelo Manalo exhorted the Church officers to always put their trust in God especially during these turbulent times. He also encouraged them to remain diligent and loyal in performing their duties, and to serve as good examples of having a way of life that is pleasing to God.

“It’s important that as Church officers, we continue. We don’t slow down, we don’t stop. We remain strong and steadfast because it’s a manifestation of our faith and trust in God,” shared district Church officers overseer Brother Randy Weir. “As we please God, He has His promise that He will help us, and guide us. With the help of God, performing our duties faithfully becomes a solid foundation for His blessings, which will guide us and secure our hope of the coming day of our salvation.”

“It is spiritually rewarding for ourselves. We may have work obligations, family obligations, and of course, we’d like some time to relax and have fun as well. But above all, we are here to serve God,” explained Ronald Hamilton, head deacon from Waikiki Congregation. — With reports from Bruce Tan of INC News Section
