The Christian Brotherhood International (CBI) in Caloocan North District held back-to-back activities on January 29, 2025 at the Bagong Silang V Congregation compound aiming to build camaraderie and impart academic knowledge to Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) students.

A team building activity was first held, followed by a seminar on Quantitative Research Method.

“Team building activities, such as this one, not only give us the opportunity to strengthen our brotherhood but to work harmoniously in any group, be it in school or at Church,” explained CBI district directress Marielle Boborol, third-year college student of the University of Caloocan City (UCC)–North Campus. “We hope for the INC students to understand how the Church Administration supports these activities that are aimed at helping them improve in their chosen careers, especially in pleasing God,” she added.

Sharing what she learned from the said activity, CBI district officer Janna Excelise, also from UCC, shared that “a team or organization that aspires success in its endeavors requires everyone’s cooperation. Hence, communication is also a key to victory.”

For the second activity, Nigel Troy Oreta, third-year public administration student in UCC and research editor and writer for the Philippine College of Health and Sciences, served as the resource speaker. He discussed about the importance of conducting research and how Quantitative Research is conducted.

“When I’d get to the point of my studies that I would make research papers using quantitative method, I’d surely remember this seminar’s purpose and the steps in conducting such research,” said grade 11 student Justine Billones.

Concluding the event, district CBI overseer Brother Paul Christian Cabanlit gave the closing remarks. More than just gaining wisdom, “with God by our side, we will succeed,” he highlighted, thus reminding everyone in attendance the importance of being prayerful to God and obedient to all of His commandments. —With reports from Rhyzia Mae Cordova Quicoy
