“I thank the Lord God for the spiritual blessings I’ve received in our special gathering today. The lesson taught today made me look back at the efforts and sacrifices I’ve made to fulfill my duty. It is not easy doing so, but I’m truly happy to offer heartfelt songs of praise to the Lord God during our worship services. Everytime I feel His abiding presence, that further strengthens my resolve as a member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ),” stated Wilma Patricio of San Luis Congregation, a choir member for 53 years now.
She attended, together with fellow choir members in the Ecclesiastical District of Isabela South, Philippines, the special gathering that was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Santiago City on March 2, 2025.
Brother Arnel A. Tumanan, minister of the gospel sent by the Church Administration, officiated the holy occasion. During the Bible-based homily, Brother Tumanan underscored the qualities that all of the Church officers must possess: faithful, resilient, and unwavering in carrying out their duties, regardless of life’s challenges. He also highlighted God’s promise of blessings to those who will remain faithfully fulfilling their sacred tasks, especially salvation on Judgment Day.
Arlene Ramirez of Naggasican Congregation, a choir member with 40 years of service, expressed, “I’m overwhelmed with joy that the Executive Minister remembered our district. This gathering has edified my faith. I pledge to uphold my duty until the end to give glory to God.”
“Being a choir member requires sacrifice. There were times when I had to leave my family and set aside other things to do my duty. Nevertheless, I have no regrets, because I know that God will never abandon me or my family, as long as I remain devoted to prioritizing my duty,” said Raniag Congregation choir member Leonila Corpuz, who holds the said duty for 72 years now. — With reports from Jaycee Torno and Jericho Sanchez
