To uplift the faith of choir members in its local congregations, the Ecclesiastical District of Micronesia held simultaneous special gatherings for them on February 17, 2025.
District supervising minister Brother Joven Sepillo Jr. officiated at the house of worship of Guam, while Brother Julius Malabanan, assistant district supervising minister, officiated the gathering in Saipan, CNMI. Other local congregations connected via videostreaming to the host site nearest them: the Local Congregation of Koror, Palau to that of Guam; and the Local Congregations of Majuro, Marshal Island; Pohnpei, FSM; Tinian, CNMI; and Rota Extension to Saipan.
The officiating ministers highlighted in their Bible-based preaching the value of abounding in the faith and commitment to fulfilling one’s duties being a member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), such as “in line with the intensive work of propagation of the true faith,” Brother Sepillo detailed.
Living in the world is not without trials, but Brother Sepillo enjoined the choir members to, “continue to be solid in the faith. Put our complete trust in our Almighty God. He will always be there to answer our prayers.”
A choir member for nine years now, Ernil Miclat often reflects on how he “has been blessed being given this gift even when I was at a young age, starting in the Children’s Worship Service.”
The holy gathering was “very peaceful. As I focus on God and my duty, it’s really humbling to be able to perform despite a lot of things going on in life. It’s really grounding,” said choir member Jona Reyes. — With reports from Michael De Jesus of INC News Section
