On March 1, 2025, the newly renovated house of worship of the Local Congregation of San Nicolas, in the Ecclesiastical District of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, was rededicated to God through a special gathering.
Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) General Evangelist Brother Bienvenido C. Santiago officiated at the holy occasion.
During his homily, Brother Santiago emphasized the significance of the house of worship in the brethren’s lives. He noted that it is the place where they render worship services to God, hold devotional prayers, and experience God’s abiding presence which provide them the strength they so needed to remain steadfast in the faith amid a troubled world.
The house of worship, which can accommodate 360 worshipers, is situated in Brgy. 1 San Francisco, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte. It has been equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system, LED TVs, LED wall, Johannus organ, and additional parsonage and office spaces.
“I thank the Lord God for our newly refurbished house of worship. We can now continue worshiping Him in a more suitable place,” said head deacon Leomer Rumbaoa.
Choir leader Nemia Sacalamitao expressed, “My heart is filled with joy because the Lord God, through the Church Administration, has answered our prayers. I promise to continue fulfilling my duty and doing what pleases Him until the end.”
“This renovated house of worship is a manifestation of God’s love for us and His Church. On behalf of all the brethren in the congregation, we promise to take good care of it so we can continue to glorify God,” said resident minister Brother Mar Nieto. — With reports from Joyce Ann Lucas of INC News Section
