The Ecclesiastical District of Spain held Tagisan ng Talino (Bible quiz) local eliminations for its Children’s Worship Service (CWS) members on March 16, 2025.

With a coverage of CWS lessons in the past few months, the young members vied to represent their respective congregations by making it through the different stages of the quiz, namely, easy, average, and difficult.

Supervised by district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer Brother Ezekiel Silva, CWS officers facilitated the activity. “Through the Tagisan ng Talino, the youth broadened their knowledge and understanding of lessons taught during worship services,” he explained. “As this event also aimed at uplifting them in the faith, their learning experience thus provided them added zeal.”

After the quiz, declared winners were: Glenn Jillian Manuel (Barcelona Congregation), Chalssy Arindaeng (Mallorca), Kendrieon Bryze Organista (Bilbao), Mathew James Roduta (Ibiza), Rexward Adrian Piñero (Las Palmas), Rogin Quitoriano (Madrid), Shanaia Paula Guran (Madrid Norte), Princess Arhiane Benito (Madrid Sur), and Gabriella Calaustro (Marbella).

“I thank the Lord God for helping me in the activity,” said Manuel of Barcelona Congregation. “I studied the lessons for this activity and always asked God for His guidance through devotional prayers up to the actual quiz.”

Also present in the activity were the parents. Not remiss in supporting their children, they cheered from the sidelines. “I’m happy and proud of my daughter. I’m thankful to the Church Administration for this activity,” said Chrima Arindaeng, Chalssy’s mother. “Starting at their young age, the children can participate in Church activities. Such gives glory to our Lord God.”

Meanwhile, her daughter Chalssy said, “I’m excited to participate in this Bible quiz although I’m nervous at first. I didn’t expect winning although I do want to win. My parents always teach me that winning or losing doesn’t matter. Much more that matters is participating in Church activities.”

The winners of the local eliminations will meet for the district level competitions in June 2025. — With reports from Noemi Jimenez of INC News Section
