Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City, Philippines, conducted INC Giving events in six venues on May 1, 2024, aimed at “fulfill[ing] one of God’s commands, that is, to do good to our fellowmen whenever we possibly can,” said Brother Virgilio Del Rosario Sr., district supervising minister.
The said venues were the Doña Carmen Covered Court, and MRB Covered Court in Brgy. Commonwealth; Brgy. Kaligayahan Covered Court; a portion of the parking area of SM Novaliches; gymnasium of Ponciano Bernardo High School in Cubao; and Daza Court of Amoranto Sports Complex.
Each local congregation set up various booths at every venue. There the Church members invited their countrymen to receive free meals, grocery items, hygiene kits, school supplies, pre-loved clothing, and souvenir items.
Irene Nene, a doctrinal instructee from the Local Congregation of Galas, expressed her thankfulness for being among those who benefited from the socio-civic activity. “I’m amazed and inspired by the deeds which Church Of Christ members are prepared to do out of kindness to their fellowmen,” she said.
“I am happy for our efforts in preparing for this activity reaped success,” said Aubrey Menor, KADIWA officer from the Local Congregation of V. Luna. “May we have been of great help to our fellowmen through this activity.”
“Our district will never cease in participating activities under the INC Giving project for such works are pleasing to God,” said Brother Del Rosario on behalf of the brethren. — With reports from Anne Kimberly Baldos of INC News Section
