Many would-be members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the Ecclesiastical District of Alaminos City, Pangasinan, Philippines, were baptized on July 26, 2024, making their celebration of the Church’s 110th anniversary the day after more memorable.

Brother Jerry Madamba, assistant district supervising minister, officiated at the baptismal gathering held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Bolinao. He emphasized to the baptismal candidates that those who are sure of attaining salvation on Judgment Day are the faithful members of the Church.

One of those baptized was Glenda Afan from the Local Congregation of Tondo. “I felt so joyous because I’m already among those who will be saved. I will make sure to attend worship services regularly and participate in all the Church activities,” she said.

“I’ve never been this happy because God already answered my prayers,” said Alano Afan, who was instrumental in leading his wife Glenda to the true faith. “I am glad that my wife is already a member of the Church Of Christ. From this day on, together we promise to continue being firm and active in the faith, and someday soon we will hold offices in the Church,” he added.

“Through the efforts of the ministers, ministerial workers, as well as the brethren in our district, the propagation of the true faith is further intensified,” said Brother Noel Cayabyab, the district Light of Salvation overseer. On behalf of the district, he added, “We will never waver in doing this so that more people will receive salvation being a member of the Church Of Christ.” — With reports from Trixie delos Santos
