“For me, the turning point was the [biblical] lesson about the one true God. [It was] an eye-opener. It hit me different,” shared a former Catholic, now newly baptized Glenda Contreras Hernandez of Richmond Hill Congregation, Greater Toronto District. She was among those who were baptized on January 11, 2025, at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Toronto.
Brother Raul Adalla, district supervising minister, officiated the said occasion. “Salvation can only be found inside the true Church Of Christ,” he highlighted from the Bible. Thus, he emphasized, being baptized therein is a great blessing.
Also in attendance were brethren across the district, including doctrinal instructees like Dan Dave Ralutin. “It has inspired me more. I’m even more eager to reach the day of my baptism,” he said.
A ‘Welcome, My Brethren’ activity followed right after the baptismal gathering. Joyous and ‘welcoming’ as its name signifies, the event served as a meet and greet with the Church officers and provided more encouragement for the newly baptized to uphold active services to God. — With assistance from Danfel Serreno
