On October 21, 22, and 25, 2024, the Ecclesiastical District of Hawaii-Pacific held baptismal gatherings at Kauai, Maui, and Oahu, respectively. Together with fellow ministers constituting the district leadership, supervising minister Brother Gem Baitan led the gatherings. The baptisms were held at the houses of worship of the local congregations of Kalaheo, Wailuku, and Ewa Beach, respectively.
“I prayed a lot to reach this day. Doing so really helped me. Right after the baptism, I felt like a new person,” said Zevavienne Pasco of Wahiawa Congregation, even adding her zeal, “I will always believe in Him and keep my faith strong for as long as I live.”
After the said baptismal gatherings, Church members from the said local congregations personally greeted their newly baptized brethren during the ‘Welcome, My Brethren’ activities conducted at each venue’s function hall.
Everyone in attendance were treated to fun games, refreshments, and the presentation of some INC original songs. Also during the said welcoming activity, “to further take care of our newly baptized brethren, we introduced them to the Christian Family Organizations (CFO),” narrated Brother King Soliman, district Light of Salvation overseer. Thus, with the help of the CFO officers, the newly baptized were further oriented about the activities of the CFO they respectively belong to, that is, Buklod, KADIWA, or Binhi. — With assistance from Erwin Sunga
