Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) officers and members in the Ecclesiastical District of Bataan South, Philippines, led a tree-planting activity on November 23, 2024, within Strand Subdivision, Nagbalayong, Morong, Bataan.

Prior to the actual tree-planting, SCAN member Jose Delos Santos taught the participants about the right distance and the proper procedure in planting the said seedlings. They then planted seedlings of narra (300), cashew (100), coconut (60), soursop or guyabano (50), and rambutan (50).

“It’s fulfilling to see how the brethren united in this activity. They were so happy to contribute for the protection of our nature,” attested Malvin Peña, the district SCAN president.

Led by district supervising minister Brother Melvin Cayabyab, ministers and ministerial workers joined the activity. “This is a great help to the environment. As we are all aware of, trees are conducive to prevent flooding. That is why we thank the Church Administration for supporting this activity, our welfare now and in the future in their mind,” Brother Cayabyab said. — With assistance from Paula Janine Dimaculangan
