The Local Congregation of Bato, Ecclesiastical District of Zambales North, Philippines, hosted a fire prevention seminar, which was attended even by other residents of Barangay Bato, Palauig, Zambales. It was held at the village’s covered court on June 8, 2024.

Michael Arbo, Diether Mark Lerma, and Nikko Valeroso, fire officials from the Palauig Fire Station, led the seminar. Among the topics that were discussed were fire safety measures, hazards and prevention, fire behavior and spread, emergency response, as well as community awareness.

“It’s important to know the appropriate precautionary measures to prevent fire and learn how to extinguish it,” explained Ramil Fuenticilla, head deacon and one of the event’s organizers.

“I gained valuable insights. Attending the seminar was beneficial and I appreciate it,” John Rabin de Guia, a resident, remarked.

“I’m thankful to our Lord God and the Church Administration for this additional knowledge that we can apply in our daily lives,” Ellyssa Plarisan, Binhi member, expressed. “This seminar has further motivated me to stay active in joining Church activities.” — With reports from Melma Doloritos of INC News Section
