The Brooks Group Worship Service (GWS) is now a local congregation. With the approval of the Church Administration, the inaugural worship service of the youngest local congregation in this side of Canada took place at the Cenovus Flexhall of JBS Canada Centre along 1st St E, Brooks, Alberta, Canada on September 8, 2024.

Brother Voltaire Tamisin, supervising minister of the Ecclesiastical District of Calgary, led the holy gathering. The oath-taking of newly appointed Church officers was also conducted during the said gathering.

In his Bible-based homily, Brother Tamisin preached how the Executive Minister regards the members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ). His love and concern for them he proves by tirelessly teaching them God’s words, which they ought to obey for them to be sure of receiving His promises.

Brethren in the Brooks Local Congregation used to attend worship services at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Falconridge, whose members, including those from other congregations, even took the effort to also attend and witness the blessed occasion.

“Their being a local congregation is a fulfillment of our Lord God’s promise that no one can stop His work of salvation in these last days, and with this endeavor, even allowing more people to know the truth for them to be spared on Judgment Day,” said Allison Roy Ibasco, resident ministerial worker.

“I’ve waited for this day, for Brooks to be a local congregation,” said Romeo Soriano, choir member and Buklod congregation president. “It has been possible with the help and mercy of our Lord God, that’s why we’re thanking Him for this blessing.”

Succeeding worship services of the congregation will be held at Unit 8, 311 9th Street East, Brooks, Alberta. — With reports from Yna Manzano of INC News Section
