The Buklod Night hosted by the Ecclesiastical District of New South Wales, Australia, brought joy and made stronger the bond between husbands and wives. It was held at an events place in Penrith, New South Wales on November 24, 2024.
In his opening message, the district supervising minister, Brother Seth Gutierrez, reminded the attendees of the importance of their roles in leading their respective households in pleasing the Lord God no matter what the situation maybe.
Donning their formal attires, attendees enjoyed a set of musical performances by their fellow Buklod members. They also participated in fun games and interactive activities. Winners were given prizes. A sumptuous dinner capped their night.
“Being married for more than 50 years, we owe everything to God. He helped us in keeping our marriage, in taking care of our children and in remaining true servants in the Church. Even with our current age, I promise to remain loyal to my spouse, most especially to the Father,” said Elizer Dadios, finance officer in the Local Congregation of Penrith.
In an interview after the event, Brother Gutierrez said, “This event is in unity with the Church’s commemoration of the 62nd anniversary of the Buklod organization. The Church Administration supported this activity which aims to remind married couples about the holiness of marriage and the importance of preserving its sanctity.” — With assistance from Kriziel Manday
