The Ecclesiastical District of Bulacan East organized Care For Humanity events on January 17, 2025 at the house of worship compounds of all local congregations. In total, close to a thousand families benefited.
Such socio-civic activities were part of the district’s commemoration of Brother Eraño G. Manalo’s birth centenary, the Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) from 1963 to 2009.
First treated to performances of INC original music by fellow brethren in the Church, beneficiaries were given inspiration through a Bible-based message prior to receiving the care packages containing canned goods, biscuits, noodles, coffee, and rice.
Having been edified through God’s words, Leonida de Dios said, “I’ve been through a lot. But I do not lose hope and cling to God’s promised help.” Being among the recipients of the aid, she added, “Thank you so much for this.”
“It’s a challenge to make ends meet as a tricycle driver who feeds a family,” said Rolando Tangol, a Society of Communicators and Networkers (SCAN) officer from Parkwoods Local Congregation. “I’m grateful to the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo Manalo, for extending care for us in these trying times.”
On behalf of the brethren in the said congregation, resident ministerial worker Brother Elmon Paul Parungao said that they have been all the more motivated to “completely obey all His will and unite with the Church Administration. We firmly believe that by doing so, we become closer and pleasing to God.” — With reports from Diane Andrea Verduz
