Members of the Christian Brotherhood International (CBI) in the Ecclesiastical District of Bohol, Philippines, attended the ‘INC Students Unity Camp’ at Sitio Decker covered court, Poblacion, Carmen on August 17, 2024. It was conducted in commemoration of their organization’s 55th anniversary.

Among those who attended are college students from the Bohol Island State University and the University of Bohol, while others are high school students from different municipalities in the island province.

Part of the activity’s vital objectives, aside from strengthening the brotherhood and developing discipline in both academic and spiritual aspects, is promoting CBI itself as an avenue for sharing common interests.

“The activity made it possible for us to meet and bond with students from other schools who are also members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ). The purpose of the activity was indeed fulfilled,” said Daniellyn Cabusao, a student enlisted in the Riverside Extension of the Local Congregation of Bugang Sur. “It has been an opportune time to share common interests with them, especially that concerning our faith,” she added.

The CBI officers, led by the district Christian Family Organization (CFO) overseer Brother Joseph Batuhinay, facilitated the program. It featured interactive booths, such as Mini Basketball Shooting and Dedication Wall; socialization and team-building activities, like Cup-stacking, Jenga, and Videoke challenge; and musical performances of students from different schools.

“Despite hectic academic schedules, the activity in turn served as an avenue for me and fellow students to reflect on what is more important, our faith, and not just to enjoy taking a break,” said James Cumahis from the Local Congregation of Mahayag, also a choir member. — With reports from Louise Cabahug and Franz Daria
