The Christian Medical Dental Paramedical Society (CMDPS) in the Ecclesiastical District of Cavite in the Philippines hosted a health seminar at the house of worship compound of the Local Congregation of Noveleta on June 9, 2024.

Dr. Ramon Rivera, an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist in the Local Congregation of Sabang, Ecclesiastical District of Cavite South, served as the resource speaker. He discussed numerous hearing hazards that, if left unchecked, could lead to complications including partial to complete deafness. He also suggested to attendees to seek diagnosis of ear infection and treatment.

“We should really treasure our hearing for through it we receive God’s words,” said Lumen Bordaje, a doctor of alternative medicine and the district CMDPS president.

“For me, this was a wakeup call to give more attention to taking care of my ears,” said Pierce Alcober in the Local Congregation of San Nicolas. Many people use earphones almost everyday. Thus the timely reminder, which is to avoid prolonged exposure to loud music and also to correctly clean the ears.”

Brother Giovanni Maganda, the district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, supervised the seminar. — With reports from Rose Ann Ramallosa of INC News Section
