The Cochrane Group Worship Service (GWS) in Alberta, Canada has become a full-fledged local congregation only six days after Brooks GWS also reached such a development.
The inaugural worship service of the newest local congregation in the Ecclesiastical District of Calgary was held on September 14, 2024 at the Cochrane Lions Club and Events Centre.
Brother Voltaire Tamisin, district supervising minister, officiated at the said inaugural worship service. In his preaching of God’s words, he emphasized how blessed the brethren from Cochrane for having been organized as a local congregation with their own place of worship. He exhorted them thus to be even more dedicated to doing the things that please God and fully trusting Him to rescue them from adversities.
The Cochrane Local Congregation was a GWS for about five years. “When we received the news that we will become a local congregation, we’re so glad,” said Brian Carbonell. “I thank our Lord God for hearing our prayers. I’ll never forget how our God has granted our congregation strength to overcome tests as we uphold our services to Him.”
The new local congregation now holds regular worship services at BGC Cochrane Area, 111 Fifth Ave, Alberta, Canada.
“This is a proof that the Lord God fulfills His promises to the Church. The brethren here began as a few but through their perseverance in sharing the true faith, they grew in number. All of these we owe to our Lord God,” said Brother Eugene Agustin, district auditor.
