The Ecclesiastical District of Metro Manila South, in the Philippines, held an evangelical mission participated in by its 20 constituent local congregations, bringing a total of 1,966 guests. It was held at the Villar Coliseum, Brgy. Talon Uno, Las Piñas on June 21, 2024.

In his biblical preaching, Brother Jerick Dela Cruz, district supervising minister, taught that people must seek the truth or God’s will concerning salvation on Judgment Day. “Man must enter or join the Church Of Christ to be saved on Judgment Day. That is what the Lord Jesus Christ teaches as written in the Bible,” he said.

Jhossa Dela Peña, a deaconess from the Local Congregation of BF Resort Village, was able to bring with her 15 guests, two of whom were Fatima Espineda and Mary Ann Banug.

“I learned a lot, such as people should be wary. They must not right away believe what others say, which could be false and unbiblical. Truth concerning salvation must only be based on God’s words written in the Bible,” Espineda said.

Brethren from the Local Congregation of Madrigal were able to bring along more than a hundred guests. Its resident minister, Brother Felmark Daroy, attested, “Many of our guests expressed that they will continue listening to the biblical teachings the Church upholds, others even already enlisted as doctrinal instructees.”

“People must seek the truth,” said Banug, when asked what she learned during the evangelical mission. “According to the Bible, people must enter the fold or the Church Of Christ for them to be saved.”

On behalf of the district, Brother Nevangel Marcos, the district Light of Salvation overseer, said, “Led by our district supervising minister, we in the district will remain devoted to the all the more intensified sharing of the faith. This is our unity with the Church Administration in fulfilling the noble purpose of making known to people God’s words for them to receive salvation on Judgment Day. All for the glory of God.” — With reports from Jhoy Castillo
