A day after the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) reached its 110th anniversary on July 27, 2024, three ecclesiastical districts of the Church in the continent of Europe held INConcert celebrating the said milestone.
Mediterranean
Church members from local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Mediterranean, gathered at the Porta Theater in Athens, Greece to witness solo and group musical performances, which were prepared by their talented fellow brethren.
“Despite some conflicting schedules in our preparations, we were able to successfully stage the INConcert today. This would not be possible if it weren’t for the wholehearted cooperation of everyone in the production team and the performers,” said Allyson Keena Villanueva, performer and choir member from the Local Congregation of Athens, Greece.
Brother Edmundo Tapang, assistant district supervising minister, shared that “the entirety of the activity is so inspiring and motivating for us to continue to please our Lord God as we celebrate the Church’s 110th anniversary.”
Along with the celebration of the Church’s anniversary, the district also celebrated its fifth anniversary of establishment.
Northern Europe
For brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe, their INConcert was held at an event’s place in Alakulttuuritila Alimus, Pengerkatu 11, 00530 Helsinki, Finland.
The program resounded hymns proclaiming God’s grace for the Church. Performers ranged from youth members to married ones.
“We truly felt happiness and the strong bond among the brethren in celebrating the 110th Anniversary of the Church of Christ in this part of the world,” said Jeana Igarlino, a deaconess in the Local Congregation of Helsinki, Finland.
Brother Vizar Balcita, district supervising minister, led the brethren in the activity. “We remember the significance of the Church’s founding 110 years ago. The Church in Europe has been growing for the past 50 years, and so, it is only right that we proclaim the goodness of God to the entire Church which we did through musical performances,” he said on behalf of the district.
Spain
Likewise joyful, Church members in the Ecclesiastical District of Spain attended the like event held in Colegio Salesianos Estrecho, C/ Francos Rodriguez 5 28039 Madrid, Spain.
Lorraine Andrea Anor, choir member from the Local Congregation of Barcelona and among the performers in the district’s musical program, noted that “the INConcert conducted today inspired me more in my membership inside the Church Of Christ. It reminded me that God is always on our side.
