TOWNSVILLE CITY, Australia — In a heartwarming display of support, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC or Church Of Christ) donated $10,000 each to the Australian Red Cross (ARC) and State Emergency Services (SES) on March 2, 2025, during a Care For Humanity event in Townsville City. This donation will help support communities impacted by future disasters and calamities.

Last month, ARC and SES came to the rescue as communities were affected by heavy flooding.

Morgan Knowles, Senior Recovery Officer at ARC, expressed gratitude for the INC’s generosity. “We are grateful your community has extended this compassionate support,” she said.

The SES also received 17 buckets of cleaning tools to aid in its efforts to help individuals and communities in need. Robert Kyle Griffiths, the Local Controller of SES Townsville City, emphasized the significance of these supplies. “With the equipment we can’t normally source, we can now help the community even more,” he said.

The INC’s donation will help humanitarian organizations help communities during disasters and calamities.

Brother Orlando Macayan, INC Supervising Minister in Queensland, highlighted that this event reflects the Church’s global commitment to Christian teachings, helping those in need. Robert Kyle Griffiths was particularly moved, calling the INC’s humanitarian efforts “mind-blowing” and “outstanding.”

Iglesia Ni Cristo is a Christian religion and community partner that helps. It has active members and congregations in more than 160 countries and territories.
