In commemoration of the 110th anniversary of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), members in the Local Congregation of Naval, Ecclesiastical District of Leyte, Philippines, held socio-civic and propagational activities on two consecutive Thursdays, July 25 and August 1, 2024.

Brigada Eskwela and Food Caravan

On July 25, the Church members gathered at Naval National High School, taking part in the Brigada Eskwela, cleaning and repainting the school’s facilities prior to the opening of classes. A food caravan followed right after the said activity. The brethren distributed snacks to the school faculty, including some parents and students who were at the school grounds also to take part in the activity.

Dr. Zaea Villamor, principal, expressed, “I’m grateful to the Iglesia Ni Cristo for organizing the Brigada Eskwela at our school. This will greatly benefit both the teachers and students.”

“I greatly admire the Church’s unity, not only in sharing their faith but also in supporting the community, particularly by helping our school prepare for the upcoming classes,” said Genevieve Bo, a parent.

Pasugo Drive

A week later, on August 1, the brethren once again demonstrated their unity, this time during a Pasugo Drive. They distributed more than a hundred copies of Pasugo: God’s Message magazine to the residents of Naval.

“I am very happy to take part in the Pasugo Drive because it pleases God as it helps our fellowmen learn the truth about salvation,” said Rommel Rotilles, a head deacon.

“I appreciate the efforts of the INC members in sharing their faith,” said Jolina Pernitis, a recipient, “This copy of the Pasugo magazine will help me understand the doctrines they uphold.” — With reports from Gabby Macato
