As the Church’s propagation work in Central America gathers momentum, more citizens of Costa Rica, Honduras, and Mexico are embracing the true Christian faith.
Among them were those who received baptism as administered by the leadership of the Ecclesiastical District of Central America.
The new converts of the Honduras Group Worship Service (GWS) were baptized on February 18, 2024; the baptismal service was administered by Brother Juan Fisher, assistant district supervising minister.
One of the converts was Georvin Jafeth Aleman Cruz, whose mother, Nolvia Cruz, was instrumental in his introduction to the Church. “I and my mother were thankful to God for I have reached the day of my baptism,” said Georvin.
Six days later, on February 24, Brother Fisher administered the baptismal service in the Mexicali, Mexico GWS. Among the newly-baptized members were husband and wife Jorge Malta Mayoral and Silvia Chavez Malta.
According to their resident minister, Brother Daryll Domingo, the couple felt glad and blessed having received the true baptism inside the Church Of Christ. He attested of the couple’s zeal, that they hope “many people will notice the big change in their lives as they uphold the teachings of God they received in the Church. By doing so, others would pique their interest to also join the Church.”
On the same day, the new Church Of Christ members from Costa Rica, together with additional ones from another part of Mexico, were baptized under the administration of the district supervising minister, Brother Jonathan Jamias.
From the host site, in the house of worship of the Mexico City Local Congregation, Brother Jamias’ preaching of God’s words was streamed live to Quepos, Costa Rica GWS through videoconferencing. He taught the baptismal candidates that being a member of the true Church is a calling and blessing like no other, being from the Lord God. — With reports from Cecilia Nicolas Tabobo, Daryll Domingo, and Mark Delingon
