The house of worship of the Local Congregation of Katipunan, Ecclesiastical District of Agusan Del Sur, in the Philippines, was rededicated to God on August 23, 2024, after a year of renovation work.

This was during a special worship service presided over by Brother Felix Villabrille Jr., the district supervising minister, and attended not only by the congregation’s members but also by those of nearby congregations.

During the study of God’s words, Brother Villabrille underscored the importance of the house of worship in the lives of the congregants. He explained that it serves as a place where His chosen people not only offer their praises and thanks to Him but also experience His abiding presence that gives them spiritual strength, thus, playing a vital role in overcoming their troubles.

The 110-seater house of worship, situated at Purok 4, Brgy. Katipunan, Veruela, Agusan Del Sur, is 102 kilometers from the district office in Bayugan City. It was furnished with a state-of-the-art sound system, three LED TVs for videoconferencing, a CCTV camera system, and a Johannus organ. A new pastoral house was also constructed adjacent to it.

“This renovation of our house of worship is a testament to God’s abundant love and blessings upon His Church, our congregation among the blessed,” said Brother Clyven Kenn Pongase, the resident ministerial worker.

On behalf of the congregation, head deacon, Julieto Colo Sr., said, “We thank God for answering our devotional prayers. We’re now all the more able to conduct worship services in our splendid house of worship.” — With reports from Rayson Dela Peña
