Brethren from the Local Congregation of GP Santos, in Koronadal City, South Cotabato Ecclesiastical District in the Philippines, received inspiration as they witnessed the rededication of their congregation’s house of worship.

The 250-seater house of worship, situated at Barangay GP Santos, in Koronadal City, South Cotabato, was first dedicated to God on February 6, 2001. After some years, the Church Administration approved the congregation’s request for its general repair and repainting.

The rededication was held on August 10, 2024 with Brother Rene J. Panoncillo, General Secretary of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), officiating.

In his biblical preaching, Brother Panoncillo emphasized the great importance of houses of worship to the lives of God’s chosen people. He then encouraged the brethren to do their part in taking care of the sacred edifice for doing so truly pleases the Almighty.

Among the improvements done in the house of worship were the placement of new tiles, and the reconstruction of restrooms. The pews were also repaired and repainted, and CCTV cameras were installed.

Alex Virginia, choir member, shared how “thankful and joyful” he is upon being able to enter the newly furbished edifice. With conviction, he stated, “Despite the difficulties, I will continue to eagerly fulfill my duties in this house of worship.”

Brother King Elmor Galleto, resident ministerial worker, expressed that their local congregation was “truly blessed.”

“Seeing how the house of worship has become even more beautiful, the brethren are all the more inspired to fulfill their duties, and do all things which please God,” Brother Apolinario Seacor, district supervising minister, added.

During the repair and repainting of the house of worship, brethren temporarily held their worship services in a makeshift chapel built in the same compound. — With reports from Nicole Kaye Tobias
