SAN CARLOS CITY, Pangasinan — Hundreds of Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members trooped to the Bayambang Event Center in Bayambang, Pangasinan on June 8, 2024 and took part in a blood donation to help augment the blood supply needs of the province.
The activity was facilitated by the INC in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) – San Carlos City branch.
The PRC prepared about 20 beds in anticipation of the big number of people expected to give blood.
The branch head of the PRC in San Carlos City, Krismar Glen Brillantes, said the activity was a big help to augment the blood supply needs of the province of Pangasinan. He also thanked the INC for its continuous effort to help in blood donation.
Among those who came to donate blood were Police Master Sergeant Lailani Macaraeg, and her husband, Arturo, a businessman.
“[Itong blood donation] po ay napakaganda at may magandang maitutulong sa mga kababayan na nangangailangan ng dugo [This is very beautiful and can greatly help our fellow countrymen in need of blood],” PMSgt. Lailani Macaraeg expressed.
The activity was personally overseen by the INC district minister, Brother Eduardo Olipas, who was also a regular blood donor. He and his wife, Sister Rosephine, both donated blood.
“Napakasarap sa pakiramdam na nakapag-donate tayo ng dugo hindi lang para makatulong sa mga kapatid na nangangailangan kundi maging sa mga non-INC members [It feels wonderful to have donated blood to help not only our fellow brethren in need, but also non-INC members as well],” revealed Brother Eduardo.
The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) is a community partner that helps and its members strive to help those in need.
