QUEZON CITY, Philippines – On January 2, 2025, members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) helped residents of the Salam Compound in Quezon City through the Church’s ongoing outreach program, Lingap sa Mamamayan (Care for Humanity).
Through its charitable arm, the Felix Y. Manalo (FYM) Foundation and New Era General Hospital (NEGH), the Church provided free medical consultations, along with essential medicines and vitamins, to Muslim community members. Volunteer health professionals offered check-ups, health assessments, and preventive care.
“Specialists, including pediatricians, a neurologist, and a surgeon, joined us to help in this activity,” said Dr. Carolyn Santos, the NEGH medical director.
“The INC holds humanitarian activities like this in adherence to the Christian teaching to help fellowmen, especially those in need,” explained Brother Diosdado Dades, the Supervising Minister of the Ecclesiastical District of Central.
The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) is a Christian religion in more than 165 countries and territories. It is composed of members from more than 150 different ethnicities and nationalities.
