PARAÑAQUE CITY, Metro Manila — In a remarkable display of community service and solidarity, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) has once again demonstrated its commitment to societal welfare by partnering with the Philippine Heart Center (PHC) for a significant blood donation campaign.
On the morning of April 13, 2024, the Barangay Don Bosco Session Hall was transformed into a hub of altruism as INC members from Better Living, Parañaque City devoted their time to donate blood. This joint initiative with the PHC underscores the Church’s dedication to health and humanitarian causes.
Mr. Felizardo, a 47-year-old resident of Better Living Subdivision, was among the first to arrive for the 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. event. After undergoing and passing the PHC’s stringent health screening, he proudly made his fourth blood donation. Mr. Felizardo’s actions are inspired by his faith’s teachings, which emphasize the importance of helping those in need and the health benefits of blood donation.
The INC’s collaboration with various blood bank aims to bolster the blood supply and meet the transfusion needs of community members. This initiative is part of a broader global effort, with INC members actively engaging in charitable acts in over 160 countries and territories.
Through these endeavors, the INC continues to fulfill its biblical mandate to do good and provide assistance wherever it is needed, reinforcing the Church’s role as a pillar of support in communities worldwide.
