The Ecclesiastical District of Italy South held a Care for Humanity event at the house of worship compound of the Local Congregation of Rome on October 28, 2024.
There were 104 care packages containing food items, as well as winter clothing, given to the beneficiaries by Brother Dyland Ramos, district supervising minister, fellow ministers and the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers.
“We want our fellowmen to know that the Iglesia Ni Cristo is here to support them in their time of need,” Brother Ramos observed. “Through this initiative, it’s not only our guests from various places and races, Italians, English, and Filipinos, who were joyful. With them were our brethren who volunteered to fulfill God’s command of helping others. And, this act of service is not only for our fellowmen but, most especially, for the Lord God’s glory.”
The beneficiaries, mostly Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW), were able to watch a video presentation about the purpose of the Church Of Christ in holding humanitarian missions, as well as the impact of the project in various communities around the world. Afterwards, talented brethren performed Iglesia Ni Cristo original music.
Rhea Mae De Castro, one of the beneficiaries, expressed, “I’m happy and profoundly grateful to the Iglesia Ni Cristo for organizing this socio-civic activity.” — With reports from Jeromya San Vicente-Abad of INC News Section
