KADIWA, Binhi, and CSD anniversaries commemorated via special gatherings

In commemoration of the 51st anniversary of the KADIWA, Binhi, and the 11th year of the Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD), various ecclesiastical districts in the Philippines hosted special gatherings in October 2024.

Luzon

The Ecclesiastical District of Bulacan East held simultaneous special gatherings at the houses of worship of the Local Congregations of Maharlika and Area-H Sapang Palay on October 27. Brother Daniel Llagas Sr., district supervising minister, and Brother Erdy Aguilar, assistant district supervising minister, officiated the said gatherings, respectively.

“I will uphold God’s will throughout my life so I will not be easily swayed by the evil schemes of this world,” affirmed Martin Jemuel Suyat, Binhi member from the Maharlika Congregation.

On the same day, the Paniqui, Tarlac Ecclesiastical District conducted a special gathering at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Paniqui with Brother Judee Lee Quiray, district Church officers overseer, officiating.

“I will continue to obey God’s commands, such as never forsaking the worship services and always fulfilling my Church duties,” said KADIWA and choir member Loreen Joy Damalerio, of the Parsolingan Congregation.

For the youth in the Rizal District, supervising minister Brother Alfonso Rico and assistant supervising minister Brother Leo Paras, officiated the special gatherings held at the houses of worship of the Local Congregations of Taytay and EGM, respectively, on October 15. “The Lord God’s teachings taught by the Church Administration are important because these serve as guide in our lives, an advantage so that we may conduct our lives righteously in this world,” said Aaron Justin Lina, KADIWA president of the Local Congregation of Summerhills.

The Rizal East District’s special gatherings were conducted at each local congregation’s house of worship as led by resident ministers, respectively, on October 20.

Earlier, the Calamba City, Laguna District held the special gathering at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Calamba City on October 5. Brother Eraño Augusto, district supervising minister, presided over the occasion. “The words of our Lord God brought joy and spiritual blessings to the youth and Deaf brethren that will intensify their zeal in serving God,” attested Brother Gener Tumanlao, district CSD adviser.

Visayas

Attendees in the Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental District were grateful for the Bible-based lesson they received in the special gathering on October 19. They gathered at the house of worship of the Kabankalan City Congregation, during which Brother Amando Bariring Jr., district supervising minister, officiated.

“I thank the Lord God and the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo Manalo, for this special gathering that included the Deaf brethren celebrating our organization’s anniversary,” Charmaine Tico, CSD officer from the Aguisan Congregation, expressed.

On the same day, youth and Deaf members in the Negros Oriental District flocked at the houses of worship of the Local Congregations of Dumaguete City, Bais City, Mabinay, Manjuyod, Siaton, Sta. Catalina, and Siquijor for the special gatherings. Brother Renato Callejo, district supervising minister, led the gathering at Dumaguete; fellow ministers constituting the district leadership at other said venues.

Mindanao

Special gatherings in the Agusan del Sur Ecclesiastical District on October 19 brought renewed spiritual strength to the congregants. Brother Felix Villabrille Jr., district supervising minister, led the gathering of the youth and differently-abled brethren at the house of worship of Bayugan City Congregation while fellow ministers, Brothers Hernane Agias (assistant district supervising minister), Arthur Lee Lumangtad (district edification overseer), and Lloyd Dubluis (district Church officers overseer) at the houses of worship of the Local Congregations of Loreto, San Francisco, and Bunawan, respectively. Other nearby local congregations went at the said venues serving as host sites.

Meanwhile, in the Ecclesiastical District of Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, the KADIWA, Binhi, and CSD members gathered at the houses of worship of the Local Congregations of Pagadian City, Calian, Dimataling, and Molave on October 27. There, district supervising minister Brother Rogelio Laplana Jr., assistant district supervising minister Brother Carlito Gonzales Jr., district edification overseer Brother Noe Castro, and district Light of Salvation overseer Rino Velayo led, respectively.

“I am grateful to our Lord God for allowing us to receive His words once again during the special gathering,” enthused Jey Mainit, KADIWA district president. On behalf of his fellow youth, he added, “We will make use of God’s teachings, especially in this time when the world is filled with so much adversity.
