“God’s love has been evident to our local congregation throughout the years. Since the time of the pioneering brethren until now, His mercy and grace keep outpouring,” said Brother Joven Palisoc, resident minister of the Local Congregation of Las Piñas, Ecclesiastical District of Metro Manila South, in the Philippines.
Commemorating their congregation’s centennial anniversary, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members there held a musical program on March 31, 2024, twelve days after it reached 100 years of establishment.
Gathered at the Villa Sipag Events Place in Las Piñas City, Philippines, the brethren enjoyed various song and dance performances from talented Church members with renditions of select pieces of INC original music.
“I’m truly happy and grateful to God because I was able to witness such event. I can’t help but to reminisce the hardships and challenges I’ve went through in life. It’s a wonderful feeling to be a member of the Church Of Christ,” expressed Cheryl Teves, a deaconess.
Also among the Church officers who anticipated being part of the activity was Raymundo Addu, a deacon. He narrated, “Since the time I was called into the Church, I’ve never imagined I will reach this point that I’m here celebrating, together with other brethren, the 100th anniversary of our congregation.”
Marialeta Bruselas, a finance officer, shared who are the people she remembers during the occasion: “It was the pioneering brethren and Church officers who exemplified steadfastness in fulfilling their duties … Their good examples left a lasting impact to the brethren now especially to the youth.”
On behalf of the brethren, Brother Palisoc expressed, “We thank God for guiding the Local Congregation of Las Piñas. We’ll always cherish His abiding love to us that we always feel through the Church Administration.” — With reports from INC News Section
