“It is in the worship service that I feel at peace. This is why I’m so grateful to have our own place of worship here,” said Wolfgang Oswald, a member in the Leck Group Worship Service (GWS), Ecclesiastical District of Central Europe, which was inaugurated during a worship service on November 16, 2024 with Brother Joel Catalan, district supervising minister, officiating.
The inaugural worship service was held at the Events Hall of the Naturkundemuseum Niebüll, a museum located at Hauptstraße 108, 25899 Niebüll that is just 12 kilometers away from the municipality of Leck.
Succeeding worship services will be held at the refitted residence of Wolfgang and Erlinda Oswald at No. 9 Karrharder, Strasse, Leck, 25917, Germany.
Brother Catalan preached from the Holy Scriptures why the Church continues the work of establishing congregations around the globe. He explained that it is the will of God that as His chosen people increase in number, their spiritual welfare must be all the more taken care of, primarily during their worship gatherings.
“The sacrifice of the brethren just to be able to attend worship services is in consonance with God’s will. They don’t mind the efforts needed because they are dedicated to pleasing Him. And having our own place of worship will truly edify us more in the faith,” attested Brother Nikolas Colby Nelson, the resident ministerial worker assigned to oversee the said GWS.
Leck is located near the border of Denmark and Germany. Some of the brethren in Leck used to attend worship services in Hamburg, Germany, which is a two-hour drive from them. There were even times that some had to attend worship with the Vojens GWS, Denmark, Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe.
On behalf of the newly established GWS, Brother Catalan said, “We thank the Church Administration for always being keen to respond to the needs of the faithful in this area. They truly toil to lead us in pleasing the Father. We will continue being one with them.”
