CALAMBA, Laguna — Hundreds of Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC or Church Of Christ) members in Calamba, Laguna donated blood on November 9, 2024, continuing the INC’s mission of compassion and service to the community by helping those in need.
INC members from more than 30 congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Calamba, Laguna, gathered at the Jose Rizal Coliseum function hall to participate in the life-saving initiative to address critical blood shortage.
The event was a collaborative effort between the Iglesia Ni Cristo and the Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium (DJNRMHS) to replenish essential blood supplies and support patients needing medical care.
Bryan Gonzales, a DJNRMHS nurse who has witnessed INC donation activities since 2015, thanked the INC for its continuing blood donation. He said around 600 persons could be helped by the November 9 INC blood drive.
“Maraming salamat po. Maganda talaga lagi ang nagiging turnout [Thank you. The turnout has always been great],” Gonzales said referring to the INC blood donation activities that have been held in the province.
Brother Bernie Mabuti, the Assistant District Minister, explains that the INC conducts the Blood Donation activity “to fulfill the teaching of the Lord God to help our countrymen in need and to show love for others.”
